Bottom line - I'm not happy. The details are below.
Low numbers mean I'm disappointed, and high numbers mean I'm satisfied. I've used all four of these headphones and tested them extensively.
AIAIAI S11-X03 --- interference: 8/10 , hiss: 5/10 , loudness: 8/10 , Clipping: 8/10
AIAIAI H10-X01 --- interference: 7/10 , hiss: 4/10 , loudness: 2/10 , Clipping: 2/10
Yamaha YH-WL500 --- interference: 1/10 , hiss: 9/10 , loudness: 9/10 , Clipping: 8/10
AlphaTheta HDJ-F10 --- interference: 9/10 , hiss: 3/10 , loudness: 9/10 , Clipping: 8/10
In a nutshell, you cannot get rid of the hiss with the S11-X03 no matter how low you bring down the volume (unlike the H10-X01). The S11-X03 are definitely loud compared to the H10-X01. It's very hard to clip the S11-X03, and if you clip the S11-X03, you don't get that jarring sharp clipping sound (that you get with the H10-X01), more of a gentle distortion. The S11-X03 are pretty immune to interference, even more so than the H10-X01, and the S11-X03 have a tiny bit more range before you lose the signal. The X03 is really small compared to the X01. I waited *so long* for the S11-X03, and sadly, AIAIAI missed and did not accurately represent what S11-X03 are / do. Also, I expect a firmware update will allow the S11-X03 to remember what volume you set them to when you turn them off and turn them back on (currently, if the X03 is connected to a wall charger, it forgets, so when you turn the S11 off then back on, you go back to max volume, so be careful). I am *not* a deejay, so perhaps my expectations are unrealistic. I guess we'll have to wait for CME's iWA solution.
