This Griptape experiment explores a concept for building studio pipelines directly from within Griptape. This prototype is very much a work in progress, designed to test how we might quickly spin up an isolated pipeline—whether for a separate site, a fast-turnaround trailer, or collaborating with another studio.
Watch this early proof-of-concept demonstrate how custom JavaScript-based widgets could be used to configure pipeline globals, folder structures, and app installers for DCCs like Maya and Katana. You will see an exploratory look at how AI agents might babysit MSI installers, perform iterative dry runs, and output deterministic MD files to track workflow preferences.
Finally, we dive into how this conceptual system aims to handle complex studio architecture by automatically building out Rez packages, resolving dependency clashes (such as Python 3.10 vs 3.11), and chaining together Pyblish workflows for extracting Alembics, building USDs, and validating models and UVs.
