AfterBuzz TV's Special book coverage of the Ahsoka Tano novel "Ahsoka". Host of Star Wars News Weekly Ryan Nilsen and Author/Writer Rachel Goodman run this Book Club for character drama following Star Wars The Clone Wars very own Ahsoka Tano. Written by E. K. Johnston we are breaking down everything that happened in the first 6 chapters as well as connecting what we find out to the Clone Wars series as a whole!

In the prologue of Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston, we see Ahsoka
facing off against Darth Maul. She feigns an attack before the rest of
her crew ensnares him in a trap. The opening pages with the flashback
cut at this very moment, and the next thing we see Ahsoka running from
the Empire, after the events of Order 66. She quickly flees the first
planet where she landed, and she journeys to the moon of Raada where
she befriends Kaeden and her crew.
For the remainder of the first six chapters, we watch Ahsoka settle
into life on her new home while struggling to keep her new friends at
a distance despite their acceptance of her into their lives. Ahsoka's
been deeply wounded by Order 66, and she no longer feels she should
rightfully use the force. Plus, she grieves over the loss of the other
Jedi, especially Anakin who she can no longer feel despite their
formerly strong connection.
We meet Jenneth Pilar in a quick scene and learn he's working for the
Empire, searching for planets with strong resources for them to
cultivate.
From Ahsoka's point of view, we see one more flashback, right after
Order 66, where she buries a body meant to fake both her death and
Rex's death, placing her lightsabers in this grave. In the present,
Ahsoka meditates, feeling the force again as she trains, and that's
when she feels the rumbling of the Earth.
The Empire has come to Raada.
