Survivors Dogs Editors, This Is For You ! Ravetic 2025-10-13 | TRANSCRIPTION:I've been meaning to make this for a long while and planned to release it sometime in December, but because recently an account has been terminated due to cause I will be bringing up, I felt like I should make this video in a rush and let you all know.For starters, you Survivors Dogs editors (though I know most of you use capcut templates(which is okay)), are *amazing*. I LOVE seeing edits for the Survivors series and even more when I get to see my own artwork in them. They’re so cool and fun to watch and y’all are really boosting the book series and fandom by doing it. You guys are doing great.However, 9 times out of 10 you all do not credit the artists and animators. This is actually a way bigger deal than I think you all realize. I have made it clear in my bio that 1. Reposting my art is NOT tolerated.And 2. If you use my animations or artwork in an edit, please remember to credit me properly (which can look like this or that or.. this). If you guys would tag me that’d be all right too, because I love seeing my stuff in edits and I definitely don't want to miss out on them; so I'm not going to say you can't use them at all. But if you do not credit my work, I WILL report your video for copyright infringement. Copyright is a very serious discussion that I won't get into because it would make this video way too long for what’s supposed to be a short video–so I recommend doing a bit of research yourself.Now I won't name anybody, but there was an editor that used my animations a ton in their edits. Like a ton–and there was no credit at all. I had to report several–if not, ALL of their edits because of this. They all got removed and in the span of less than a month their account was shut down due to the many *many* times I had to submit reports. It’s such a shame because again, I LOVE seeing Survivors edits :(This is my reminder to you all to please *CREDIT THE ARTISTS* before you post your videos. If you don't want to because it would take too long and you don't want to have to go through the whole process of it, then honestly you shouldn't post them at all. I cannot explain how inappropriate it is to not credit the people who literally spent hours of their time to make something just for you to put it under some cool effects and velocity and then slap your own watermark on there because “Hey, don't want anybody stealing my edit, right?” Can you see how that can look super insulting?If you plan to upload edits, really from any fandom, take the extra time to respect the people who made the artwork. It’s the right thing to do.Since I’m already on this topic I might as well add for future reference that all animations belonging to my animator projects such as Youth, Romantic Lover, Happy Face, and so on are also protected by copyright. This means that you will not be able to take the work of the participants and make an edit out of it, either. Reports of copyright infringement will be sent as soon as possible out of respect for the artists. It’s also a major accomplishment that I was able to participate in a Survivors Dogs MAP hosted by none other than the legendary @Rowananimations, who was also the host for the Survivors MAP ‘Fight Song’ . Younger me would be joyfully crying if she knew I even talked with Rowan at all. It’s such an honor!Step On Me parts 2 and 3 were actually finished a while ago, just hadn’t been posted until now. Personally I don’t think I did too bad on the backgrounds for once :) The colors made it really easy to feel confident in making something look good since they all seemed to compliment each other. (and I LOVED the purplish pallete !!).Not to mention that @totallypeacefulthing1626 nailed Whisper’s design for this project! As a Survivors fan does, I’d be looking for the most accurate Whisper reference possible for fanart, and then PeacefulBug pops out of nowhere and literally tops it all off. After seeing her design I couldn’t imagine the animated version of Whisper looking like anything else. It’s perfect.Exile part 1 was most clearly made in a rush. I was eager to do something for the project since it has just been sitting around for years with no updates or progress. I learned how to shade using overlay, multiply, and lighten which was pretty cool. I was inspired by the reference sheet the host made for backgrounds where my parts took place and I tried to mimic her style a little. I failed in lots of areas of course lol but in the end it was nicer than I expected and I even learned how to paint better using this style. So thanks host for your artistic skills!
