This month we hear from singer, saxophonist, keyboardist and producer Ahnansé. As United Vibrations' sax and keys player, Ahnansé (aka Wayne Francis) recorded three albums at MMC’s studio and taught music production to 11-16s, until the success of current project Steam Down, demanded his attention.
Formed by Ahnansé in the back rooms of Deptford, Steam Down’s weekly night and collective of young musicians, is a blend of a grime, jazz and future soul, intricately woven with leftfield hip-hop and Afrofuturist, London sounds.
