While walking among the clouds, we find clues as to the Spear's location: the place of Red Sand. It is, perhaps, our only way out of the Tower and the only way forward to find 'Not-Patches.' Liberating the King Bird of his Lift Keys we travel upwards to the next floor, that strangely enough has red-sand spilling out of it's Tower Door.
Stepping in, we find the power we have come to know sealed from us and escape from the world barred. And if that wasn't bad enough, a piercing wail falls on our heads like a tonne of bricks. The wail, as it turns out, is the shriek of the Spear which is using that noise to tell its 'owner' where it might be and killing the Royal Guards that surround it.
Royal Guards -- who are the changed forms of those would-be kings who could not approach the Spear.
As we find and reach out for the Spear, it shatters and our power tested...
"Just what is the extent of your determination?"
Note: Yes, that special item from 43:29 did, indeed, come off of the body and not Rurufon. It still does nothing.
