Aeschylus’ Oresteia, a Greek tragic trilogy consisting of Agamemnon, Libation Bearers (Choephoroi) and Furies (The Eumenides) was transmitted on Channel 4 on 9 October 1983. An one-hour documentary "The Oresteia at Epidaurus" was also released on 9 October 1983. First performed in 458 BCE as part of the Oresteia trilogy alongside Choephoroi and Eumenides. The National Theatre - UK - production.
