California Attorney General Rob Bonta says President Trump is using federal power to punish blue states like California while rewarding red states and the fossil fuel industry.
“He’s shown he’s not a president for the United States of America,” Bonta told me. “He’s a president for the Red States of America and the MAGA states of America.”

Bonta argues the administration’s attacks on clean energy are “blatantly political” — designed to hurt states that didn’t vote for Trump while benefiting fossil fuel interests.
