My mother has passed since the making and editing of this video. It has taken me some time to post, even debating if I should. Ultimately, I decided - this was a positive experience for me and my mother (and my sister who was there). My mother could not talk well but did say, "thank you, thank you" and "this is lovely" often that afternoon. I hope this will inspire other families and be a positive experience for them as well.
I did not show my mother in the video to give her privacy. And I did not go back and edit after she passed to put her in, one, to honor what I believe my mom would have requested and two, for family members who may not approve (I have a very, VERY large family).
Looking back on this video, there is so much more I could have included and I'm thinking, I'll need to make more like this.
