In today’s video, I finally hit the jackpot! After years of searching, I found the perfect vintage Coleman 425C two-burner stove from the 1960s, made in Wichita, Kansas. This incredible piece of history is 100% complete, and it's exactly what I needed to finish my US Forest Service 4-Man Spike Camp Kitchen project. Growing up with a stove just like this during our elk hunting trips with my grandfather, this restoration holds a special place in my heart.

The Coleman 425C is known for its ability to burn both unleaded gasoline and white gas, with white gas being the cleaner option. In this video, I’ll walk you through the entire restoration process—cleaning it up, testing the pressure, and making it functional again. From rust removal on the burners to ensuring the pressure system works flawlessly, I’ll restore this classic stove to a serviceable condition, perfect for future adventures.

Not only did I get the stove, but I also found a vintage camp toaster that makes four slices, a rare find that will complete the setup. Watch as we disassemble, clean, and reassemble each component, including the solid brass fuel cap and vintage pump, ensuring everything is in working order. I’ll also be testing it with white gas to fire it up after years of dormancy.

This stove is a critical piece for my USFS Spike Camp Kitchen, and I can’t wait to get it back in action. Whether you're a vintage gear enthusiast, a fellow camper, or someone who enjoys restoration projects, this video has something for you.
