The village that we visited in the Atlas Mountains was far from the epicentre of the earthquake, but there were still cracks in foundations, damage done and people staying in camps for those made homeless by the event. The calls to prayer had a fervent tone that echoed through the mountains. I enjoyed meeting the Moroccan people very much. Warm and friendly, they generally seemed to enjoy each other and being gracious hosts to us tourists as well. Assalamu Alaikum Morocco!
