Joey over at School of Motion shared his process for creating radial kaleidoscope rigs in After Effects, and I had my own take on the topic. That's one of my favorite things about After Effects: there are many ways to achieve the same result, and being able to explore multiple options will almost always lead to new discoveries. In this video, I'll share how I approached creating a radial rig using shape layers and a repeater. We'll also build some very simple controls using expressions that'll make using and animating the rig super easy. Plus I've saved it all as a preset and project file that you can download for free.
