My voice has gone from celebrations!!! ……22 years later… Arsenal are champions again. ❤️

So I cooked a champions table for the boss — Mikel Arteta. A celebration of San Sebastián’s finest and the culture that shaped the man who brought the spirit back to Arsenal.

If you know Basque food culture, you know it’s all about simplicity, confidence and quality ingredients cooked properly. No gimmicks. Hard hitting. Precise. A bit like this Arsenal team.

MENU:

🥖 Gildas
The most iconic pintxo in San Sebastián.
Anchovy, olive & guindilla pepper. Salty, sharp, punchy. One perfect bite.

🥩 Steak Pintxos
Ribeye cooked hard over flame, rested properly on butter garlic and parsley, sliced onto toasted bread rubbed with garlic and olive oil. Basque cooking is built around fire, beef and confidence.

🍒 Cherry Basque Cheesecake
Burnt on top, soft in the middle. Perfect because of its imperfections. Finished with a couple of cherries for Bournemouth helping bring the title back to North London.

Last time Arsenal won the league I remember running through Bethnal Green with the whole city alive around me.

This time I celebrated with my brother and friends at the Emirates… watching Bournemouth do the job before running down to the stadium with thousands of other Arsenal fans. That energy was something else.

A proper team.
A proper manager.
Champions again.
