Today I’m reviewing the Triangle Solstice 3, a brand-new bookshelf / standmount speaker from Triangle that brings back some of that classic French speaker magic — but with a modern design, new drivers, and a more refined approach.
The Solstice 3 is the successor to Triangle’s iconic Comète, and it features a new magnesium horn-loaded tweeter, a natural cellulose pulp mid/bass driver, a laminar bass-reflex port built into the base, and a cabinet designed for better control, imaging, and room-filling sound.
At around $1,349/pair, these are aimed at music lovers who want something lively, open, detailed, and emotional without getting into crazy high-end pricing.
But do they still have that classic Triangle energy? Are they smooth enough? Do they bring the fun back to HiFi?
In this review, I talk about the build, design, setup, sound quality, bass, imaging, treble, midrange, and whether the Solstice 3 deserves a spot in today’s crowded bookshelf speaker market.
