I've wanted a DRO for the cross slide on my little lathe for a while. The challenge is that there is just not a lot of room for one on an old Craftsman 101. After watching how others designed their systems, I set out to build my own with my personal checklist for appearance, cost, ease of install, and accuracy.

This is the first design...I'm sure I'll re-do it at some point, but it came out pretty well!
