This is another quick video tutorial from 2Dgameartguru on creating a blown and torn special Effect in Affinity Designer.

By using strokes with altered layer blend modes and adjusted pressure curves, it's fairly easy to create an elaborate effect with just a few duplicated lines on top of the base design.

Most of it can be created with other software tools such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Inkscape with minor alterations and different names for the tools used.
