So a few people guessed this was going on a while back even before before I uploaded the revamped version of the prologue and I originally wasn't going to confirm or deny anything (outside of Patreon) until the whole thing was done to drop it as a surprise, but decided to announce it officially with this video!

It's much more of a shot-for-shot remake of the original though, just animated with updated artwork (now scrapped due to the series no longer being fully animated)

So as anyone who's been on my Patreon for the past few years will know, I've actually been in the process of remastering Aeon episodes 1 and 2! Ep 1 was more for visual reasons (and some clunky writing), while ep 2 is because... that episode felt so awkward and out of place with the writing that it led to a lot of plot errors and other issues in general.
Because the ep 1 remake originally wasn't going to have any major plot changes (and still doesn't for the most part), I planned to drop the final as a surprise and then explain the ep 2 remake as well as a redub of ep 3-5 with updated voice actors. However... that changed!

Now the plan is to remaster ep 1 (few-no writing story changes), remake/ rewrite ep 2, and remaster ep 3-5 (few-no writing story changes). Whether ep 6 will stay the same or not is yet to be decided. It's already PMV and won't have any changes as far as plot or lore go, but the art style in that one is older and may stand out too much if it's not redone while older episodes are. Still a subject of debate (mainly because ep 6 was a monster to make and I really, really don't want to go back to it).

That being said, the remakes are going to have a couple of other updates as well:
-Larger focus on human forms of characters. Back when I started out, I couldn't draw people very well so I focused too much on the animal forms (also I was being lazy). This led to an awkward problem where people seemed to be confused what the series was about. People asking why "wolves" were turning into humans, etc when it was actually the other way around. It led to a weird problem where people would find my videos and think the channel was animal related, then find the episodes and see it wasn't. Of course some characters like Rajhu (and probably Nuraiah) will still be primarily in their animal forms.
-The larger focus on human forms also means I'll be focusing more on human weapons and fighting techniques. A lot of that was done with the characters in their animal forms because it became awkward to draw humans fighting when the character didn't already have an establish weapon, so that will be a new update we'll see! (probably also the one I am most unreasonably excited for)

What does this mean for ep 7+?
Nothing, absolutely nothing. I'll be working on the current remake alongside the next ep (currently ep 1 remaster and ep 7). Which one gets priority depends on motivation of the time. The current lack of progress actually has a lot more to do with irl stuff that leads to a lack of time, not this.
