Part 1: Who Am I Rescuing!?

If you’ve never played a game in the Adventure Island series, then this video is for you! This is part one of a retrospective for the entire franchise, from the original NES to a WiiWare “revival”, where I’ll be analyzing the story (or an attempt at one), characters, and gameplay. I’ve only ever known about the second Super Nintendo game, so all of this is new to me too- I’ve done a ton of research from the origin of the main character (a real person and Japanese celebrity) to the anime featuring Hudson Soft and Sega characters like Bomberman and Space Harrier.

Join me if you want to learn about a lesser-known series of titles! I’ll eventually go over each individually, but as an introduction I talk about Adventure Island as a whole and some pretty funny blunders that made up the English localization.
