Day 3 of the Advent Unwrapping – and the first Sunday of Advent. On an Advent wreath, there are four candles and the first one is traditionally lit this first Sunday. It symbolizes hope – so here’s a tidbit from Romans 15 to encourage us. Paul says:
“May the God of hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!”
