Richard Modaferii, an electrical engineer with a background in RF design, took a look at the state of the art in audio crossover design and wondered what would happen if the principles of RF filter design were applied to audio speaker crossovers. The result was a brick wall, infinite slope crossover that he was granted a patent for, and is used by Joseph Audio in their designs.
