Minimizing the risk of bleeding and stroke are the goals for patients requiring long-term blood thinners to treat non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AFib). For Michael Fowler, age 59, it was the answer to ending a 25-year reliance on blood thinners to keep his AFib under control. Following the procedure, Michael is feeling great and is enjoying life without constantly worrying about his bleeding risk.
