This is a time lapse of aircraft received "virtual radar" via ADS-B Mode S, compressing about 5.5 hours into a little over two minutes with screen capture Physical equipment: RTL2832U/R820T USB DVB-T dongle, homemade coaxial-collinear antenna mounted 20 feet high on roof and Windows PC. Range is limited by terrain, you can see airplanes drop off or come on at fringes of antenna reception. Software: ADSB# (via SDRSharp.com) output is piped to Virtual Radar Server, which displays aircraft data such as speed, altitude and location on Google Maps. Output also is piped to flightradar24.com for display among an international network of ADS-B receivers. P.S. there is no audio with this video in case you were wondering.
