Heartwarming body camera footage released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol shows the adorable moment a trooper rescued an abandoned puppy found in a crate near a highway rest area. Trooper Kronander made the heartbreaking discovery along I-71 in Medina County while conducting a routine morning check. Despite the intense heat, the puppy still had enough energy to playfully interact with an empty plastic water bottle. The trooper used the makeshift toy to win over the scared dog, gently talking to the puppy before safely placing it into the air-conditioned squad car. The puppy was transported to the local Medina Post before being placed under the care of the Medina County SPCA, an animal advocacy organization just south of Cleveland.
