More and more art sites and programs are implementing automatic permissions that say it's okay for AI to use your creations. For some reason the default is always set to yes, so if you don't want ethical AI databases downloading your work you have to manually go in to your settings to change things.

The unethical AI developers are going to take your stuff anyway. That's what already happened and why so many artists are angry.

Of course there are many normal art tools that use AI or machine learning to function. However, given the current controversy caused by a few big players in the AI industry (thanks for ruining it for everyone super cool thanks thanks), a lot of visual artists no longer trust the intent behind AI data agreements.

ArtStation and DeviantArt: DA fixed its AI tag so that it is automatically set to NO by default. ArtStation has not done this, so by default over there you are "allowing" AI use of your art. (Even though you never agreed to that. It's like they slapped a public domain license on your work for you. Unbelievable, really. I can't understand it.)
