From November 23 – 30, the Australian Defence Force Sports Branch (ADFSB) will conduct face-to-face training in Honiara, Solomon Islands to facilitate delivery of internationally recognised sporting accreditation courses.
This includes level 1 coaching, referee, sports trainer, first-aid and strength and conditioning courses. Australia’s security partnerships in the Pacific are underpinned by respect, trust and personal connections – some of which are delivered through sport.
Since 2018, the Australian Defence Force has collaborated with national sporting bodies to deliver sports initiatives, facilitating accreditation for over 3,200 officials across the Pacific.
This program continues that legacy, supporting Solomon Islands’ central and provincial communities and security forces through sports engagements in coaching, competition, and equipment gifting.
