Every time we post a new video, we brace for the same comment. It shows up in dozens sometimes hundreds of variations.

The irony? None of it is AI. Not a single frame. Not J’ba Fofi. Not Kasai Rex. Not even After Time, a short film we started making back in 2016, years before generative AI even became a buzzword.

And yet, last year, that very film was disqualified from a major festival in Portugal… for not using AI.
