In high hopes of seeing CN's M340 east bound on the Freeport we were treated with an even better train.
The 594 local was cutting cars at Mauser and Solar Sun. Finished with Mauser the local hikes up the spur with one grain hopper, where it will couple up front to the empty Solar Sun box cars.

The crew knows how to work this train for railfans, leaving the two empty box cars on the siding giving us enough time to catch it again up the street at the electrified Fullerton crossing. Here the engine is sandwiched between the two industries orders.

Running around the 3-Bay grain hopper on the siding track parallel to the main, the train was able to continue west to Glendale Heights. We catch it a third time at the Swift Road crossing, all in Addison.

"Let's go to Bensenville."
"Ok."
Not even a half hour into our visit we hear the Elgin Sub dispatcher talking to the Patrol local, but with time short, we had to take what was givven to us from the B-17 tower commander, which was a very colorful CP 487, with ex. FURX now CITX 3053 on the lead.
