This is a very boring video. 99.99% of you will want to skip this one! You have been warned.
So I maintain the Nissan LEAF CAN database files on Github ( github.com/dalathegreat/leaf_can_bus_messages ), and so far they have only contained ZE0 (2010-2013) and AZE0 (2013-2017). I recently got some ZE1 (2018 - 202#) EV-CAN-logs that I'm very thankful for, that I will be making into a separate database file. There are quite the amount of differences, but in this video I will just do the basic work of adding the new messages, and deleting the old ones that don't apply anymore to ZE1.
This is a very nerdy video, that most of you won't want to watch. But it can be useful to see how boring/exiting working with CAN is.
Huge thanks to all Patreon supporters for making this video possible. If you like what you see, and want more, consider hopping over to my Patreon page and becoming a supporter. That way i can focus more on making videos and R&D: patreon.com/dala

![LEAF ZE0 charger replacement - B29C1 P3173
In this episode, we take a look at a broken 2012 Nissan LEAF charger. It fails to charge on AC, with the official dealership wanting 3.5k€ for a new charger. Here we fix it with a used part for 750€.
The 2011-2012 LEAF has a notoriously bad design for the on board charger. They released 8 hardware revisions for this unit, and then moved on to a better design for the 2013+ AZE0. It sometimes can be repaired, but replacement is a safer bet.
