No matter whether you are hosting regular operating sessions or just running trains for fun, having a work station where you can set down your paperwork, throttle, or anything else in your hands can be very convenient. However most model railroaders fail to provide a work station for that purpose. In this video I'll show you how I build pullout work stations for the Piedmont Southern, so they're there when you need them and out of the way when you don't. So let's get started!
I purchased the slides on Amazon in 2017 and since then they have changed a little. The extensions for the plywood supports are not on them anymore but they provide holes in the sides for the screws. You may be able to dig through the listings on Amazon and find some like mine. Below is a link for slides that are as close as I could find to mine.
