So I watched the netflix show Sex Education a few months back and lucky me I didn't have to wait too long for season 2 cause it was just released last week.. and it's official I'm in love with this show. The diverse story lines and character representation, the comedy, the ships.. THE BRITISHNESS OF IT ALL. lmao I love it so much, it's really great I highly recommend it!
So I love Otis and Maeve a lot too but I was just compelled to vid Adam and Eric first after watching season 2. Initially in season 1 I was kinda iffy about whether I should be shipping them.. just because I didn't want to condone a toxic relationship, but mannnn I dunno something about their chemistry just gets me. Also literally all my ships are healthy haha sue me if I want a bit of drama now and then. But ya in all seriousness Adam obviously has some deep seated self-hatred issues that led to some of his actions... I'm not defending them it just makes some sense. I'm glad a lot of that was addressed this season, that Eric stood up for himself and realized his worth and that we saw Adam's growth and him starting to acknowledge his mistakes and patterns of abuse. There's still a long way for him to go obviously but he's come far and this season really made me like him more.
I did kinda feel bad for Rahim though.. like I don't think he was right for Eric at all, he just seemed a bit too rigid and mature for him tbh haha... but he was always nice to him and treated him well which I appreciated so he really didn't deserve what happened poor guy.. I didn't get the point of having Eric tell him he loved him just to go back to Adam though, that seemed out of character for Eric I don't think he'd want to hurt Rahim like that. (I love Eric Effiong like my own son lmao so I'm probably biased sorry) Hopefully Rahim is given a good story line of his own next season.
Anyway sorry for the novel.. Eric and Adam just have such a complex, layered relationship. I'm so interested to see where they take it!
