Hokum stars Adam Scott (Severance, Parks and Recreation) as a writer who ventures off to remote Ireland, to spread the ashes of his parents at their favorite honeymoon spot: a remote hotel populated by a host of eccentric characters - and ghosts. Evoking shades of The Shining and Mike Flanagan's Haunting miniseries, while simultaneously rooting itself in the folklore of the Irish isles, McCarthy is able to create a stylish and effectively scary film with a terrific performance from Scott.

We were fortunate enough to get a chance to chat with Scott and McCarthy about the movie, and the influence of Irish folklore on the film, as well as what it takes to survive a creepy AF hotel with ghosts and witches in complete isolation.
