some classic red?
words form at my lips, but never naturally
everything that can ever be said

and at the end of the line
or at the end of the day
there isn’t always, but there is often proof of one more day
pluck a rose from the earth
place it between my teeth
the dogs are chasing the squirrels
and something’s chasing me
all we’ve ever wanted is to be seen
and all we ever get are
the dogs sitting pretty
at our feet.
