I was hoping that I'd have all the recordings I'd transferred from people's VHS tapes lying around the house, in a few cases but mostly folders (not an ideal way to preserve discs, folks!), yet through the second half of 2013 I had other ways of preserving my DVDs that I can't for the life of me remember. This means that a bunch of ads from 2000, the Thames ads in 1992 and the Channel 4 ads in 1997 are either long gone or missing. I did manage to find three of the discs I ripped from the Bruce Springsteen/4Later tape in separate envelopes, but even then I needed all four to a complete reupload and the first disc is also lost - worst case scenario is I could have sent it to my customer without leaving a copy for myself.
My room is a dump, overloaded with leaflets and magazines I'll never read but can't bring myself to throw away, and no matter how many drawers and shelves I've looked through, no matter how many DVD-Rs I've checked, the recordings haven't turned up anywhere. I'll have to skip over those ad sets and leave the 480p 25fps copies up for the time being, until I finally find those DVDs. In the meantime, I'll get straight to reposting the ad breaks from 7th March 2014 onwards, starting with this one. In this case, I felt like trimming out the intros and outros, considering that I do plan on posting many of these full recordings on an external source anyway.
