Very simple, go to this page, find out what games are free (always are for a limited promotional time). You usually have to subscribe to email newsletters, like on facebook and have your Steam Profile set to "public". You only need to have your profile be public WHILE you are being given it, and then you can instantly change it back to "Friends Only" or "Private" before actually click the Steam button on the page and getting the steam key and redeeming it.
Many of these offers are from IndieGala.com which is a website that sells game bundles like HumbleBundle.com does and also has a discount store, like HumbleBundle, but they aren't as well known. You will need to create an email/password for this site in order to get the keys. I have redeemed a lot of free keys using this website and bought some cheap bundles.
What the website I show in the video and link at the top does, is it simply finds all free steam key offers, and puts them on 1 website, so that you don't have to find them yourself. Some keys are for non-steam clients and some are just free downloads.
Anyway, all these people post videos about "free steam keys" and they are a scam, so I got tired of it and made a REAL video. By the time you see this, the games offered for free, may no longer be available.
They shouldn't ever link to anything that requires you to make a purchase in order to get something free.
The ONLY BENEFIT I get from making this video, is knowing I am helping people find what they are looking for, and hopefully down-rank the fake videos that link to sketchy websites that may install malware or hijack your PC.
I am a computer enthusiast and I avoid suspicious websites and I feel this website is free (although I DO use protection 24/7 to help prevent anything bad from happening, but I don't feel that it is blocking stuff from this website.) If you don't feel safe going to this website, get a free (nag) version of Sandboxie.com and use that to navigate websites, and "delete contents" of sandboxie, after browsing, to nuke out anything bad that may have happened.
