Designed to delay or deter an active shooter from easily gaining entry to a school or commercial facility. This IS NOT ballistic or bullet proof glass. It is multiple layers of extremely tough security film and an attachment system to hold the broken glass in place. Our test sample is typical 1/4" thick run-of-the-mil storefront tempered glass.
REMEMBER: There are lots of videos showing glass stopping bullets. They are using 1/2" thick glass with 24mil thick film or thicker. There almost no buildings out there with 1/2" thick single pane windows, so that system only works if you also replace your glass. The system used in this video can be installed on your existing glass, whether it is annealed or tempered.
We feel it is deceptive to test with a glass type that is not a standard glass used in the vast majority of schools, homes and commercial buildings, so we are developing our system to work with what you already have. This buys precious time for the building's occupants to run, hide, barricade and call authorities.
