In this video, I create a face in my art journal on a background I painted previously using acrylics and some alcohol. Check out the iCard at the 33-second mark to see the video of me creating those backgrounds. I’m counting this in the #29faces challenge for Sept.
I like to have backgrounds ready to go in my art journals so I can get right to the meat of the project. This portrait was drawn in graphitone water soluble graphite pencils by Derwent, with a little acrylic paint, charcoal, and Posca pen added for details.
