AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! **Faints** I made it! I hope.
This is my audition for PrincessStarlight's Across the West Non/Disney Editing Competition! (Which is still open if you want to audition! There are a ton of amazing characters still open!) Here is the link to her video if you're interested. youtu.be/whjIkPDXE_g

Story: Jim lives on the streets of NYC where he gets odd jobs when and where he can. The job he currently has isn't all that great. After an arguement, Jim quits and goes back to where he and another homeless buddy find some shelter. He sits there pondering his life wishing for something more than all of this mess... After a while his friend comes back and is also down on his luck. Jim sits there thinking some more then gets up and decides to leave, whether he's going for air, to hit the road, look for some meaning in life... he isn't quite sure himself. In a deserted alley he sees Professor Whitmore's sign for adventure and a new life. "A new life..." So, Jim walks all the way to Prof. Whitmore's Mansion, in the dark and in the rain. Upon arrival he admires this enormous mansion, and sees all the other people waiting for their medical examination by Dr. Sweet. After seeing Dr. Sweet (and his intimidating saw!) he continues on into Prof. Whitmore's study. He stands by the fire ask the Professor asks to hear his story on why Jim is looking for a "new life". That's when the memories begin....)
When Jim was a young boy his mother re-married, and her new husband... well he wasn't the best of gentleman. So one night his mother abandons him on the side of the road and leave him to fend on his own.
That is his story, why he wants a new life, a new start. He's been just 'surviving' all his life and now... he's searching for something more... something that would make his life feel meaningful... something that would mean that his life matters... and he wasn't just... "an accident". After listening to Jim's story, Professor Whitmore turns around and says "Son, You're going to the Old West... and if you keep up this soul searchin' of yours... well, you may just find some answers." The Professor taps his cane on the table and Jim is teleported to the old west, where he stares in shock as his new surroundings, taking in... that this is his chance at new beginnings.
