Describing my analog phone network setup that allows to actually test old phone modems at home.
Asterisk VOIP exchange server, plus a cheap SPA-2102 dual port analog phone to VOIP adapter.
I believe this is probably the cheapest way to re-create a 2 lines analog phone network. Plus, it can be expanded over the internet!
A little information about the famous (in Italy!) Siemens S62 "modello unificato bigrigio" rotary pulse dial telephone.
Also starring the dutch PTT T65 telephone of the same era.
