Acentria is taken from my new album, The Homeland of Electricity, out on DiN. My first album on DiN, An Ascent (DiN63), was released in July 2020. Here I focused in on several Elektron instruments such as the Analog Four, Analog Rhythm and Digitakt. Whilst the debut album was forged live in the studio during the start of the global pandemic here I was after a lighter, more optimistic tone.
The film here is created by artist Ursula Berlot. It explores a very personal meaning for her in relation to the loss of a close friend. Ursula writes about the film:
"The video is dedicated to my dear friend, brilliant composer and pianist JM, who passionately celebrated the miracle of music and life in everything he did. RIP JM (1926–2022)."
