Accountability Media | Accountability for Illegal Detention and Search- MPD District 2 Updates @AccountabilityMedia | Uploaded June 2021 | Updated October 2024, 11 minutes ago.
On April 6th, 2019 I visited the Metropolitan Police Department 2nd District Station in Washington, DC. During my visit, I was illegally detained and searched by (former) Captain Edward Bernat (badge #90) and (former) Sergeant Jeffrey Tolliver (badge #737). Since then, DC Office of Police Complaints and Internal Affairs investigations were completed, Bernat and Tolliver are both no longer employed by MPD, the civil complaint was settled, and the District Attorney’s office refused to provide an arrest warrant. This is an update concerning those developments. Should you wish to contact 2nd District Commander Duncan Bedlion's office, his office's phone number is (202) 730-1901

A false report was filed by MPD concerning this incident. Watch that video here: youtu.be/CFFLyFyML24

My choice to record the MPD 2nd District Station was based on the goal of exercising my rights only. My views on MPD and DC government policy and current leadership had no bearing on this video and will remain private for these purposes.
Constructive feedback is always appreciated. I take no issue with swearing, but any comment I notice with a slur against a specific group will be removed. I reserve the right to remove any comment for any reason.
