"The holy Apostles knew the scriptures before the Resurrection, but they didn’t realize that their lives were also involved in an ongoing mystery “according to the Scripture.”
Bishop Alexei's flock is scattered among the vast lands of the State of Alaska, and for anyone that has traveled in the state, especially to the villages, knows the cost of traveling is VERY expensive. To give you an idea of how much it costs to get out to the villages, if you wanted to buy a box of laundry detergent, that would cost you a whopping $80! Now put that into travel costs for a flight out, lodging, food, etc, It is quite staggering.
