As a part of the feedback process for the Mountains to Plains Zone update, City of Fort Collins Natural Areas asked community consultants from the ARC of Larimer County and the City's Recreation ARO program to give feedback related to accessibility at Soapstone Prairie. The visit was eye-opening for many NAD staff, who were also able to experience the site via wheelchairs. From garbage cans, to parking, to benches; the community consultants gave a wide variety of helpful feedback that the planning team will use to inform changes at Soapstone Prairie and other natural areas.
