PA Turnpike | Accelereated Bridge Construction Timelapse: T238 @paturnpike8310 | Uploaded October 2019 | Updated October 2024, 12 hours ago.
In the past, replacing a bridge could cause long closures and disrupt traffic up to two years. Today, #PATurnpike engineers deploy the Accelerated Bridge Construction technique. Now we can do full bridge replacements in just one to two weekends, rather than years.
Here is a time lapse video showing how J.D. Eckman, Inc replaced the bridge on I-76 at milepost 238.09 over the course of two weekends. First, replacing the eastbound side and then following with the westbound.
