How to remove and replace the accelerator pedal position sensor on a 2006 to 2013 Nissan Note E11 and how to complete the accelerator pedal released position learning procedure. Symptoms of a faulty accelerator pedal position sensor include:
1. Slow accelerator pedal response
2. High or erratic engine idle speed
3. The car won't go faster than a certain speed
4. The car won't change gears or is jerky when you push the accelerator (automatic transmission)
5. You have poor fuel efficiency
6. The check engine light (CEL) illuminates on the dash
Accelerator pedal released position learning procedure:
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
