Ive been to Flagstaff once. It was a road trip to visit a lifelong friend in winter as school was out (he was finishing up college). The drive was long and towards the end we had to scale a fairly treacherous climb up the mountains in a storm. People dont usually associate Arizona with storms, but trust me, they happen.
It was overall a fun trip. We went skiing, had drinks, toured the small town, caught up, et cetera. One thing sticks with me though. Before we went skiing, I combined White Russians and breakfast cereal. Then I went to a high elevation and performed the dangerous act of going fast down snow and ice. Sometimes Im a fucking dumb-ass. But Arizona, as you will see in later song descriptions, makes people do dumb shit.
Now, who is this mischievous astrologer gracing my song and video? Why, its Prince Skully. Hes the only astrologer I trust and he scares the shit out of me. I included him on this song because the entire song should make you slightly uncomfortable in a good way, as thinking about Arizona always makes me uncomfortable in a good way. This song certainly deviates from the typical lofi hip-hop style, but that was always my intention. I want to put my own twist on the genre.
