In the year 2000, Marvel introduced the world to their Ultimate line of comics, an alternate universe where familiar characters could be updated and reinvented for modern times, without having any impact on the classic versions. It was an incredible success, and made everyone wonder what would happen when DC inevitably made an Ultimate-style universe of their own. Twenty five years later, we finally have the answer. Amidst an ever-expanding line of titles, Absolute Green Lantern reimagines characters like Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Jo Mullein as longtime friends living quiet lives in a town near the California border. Until the day an object fell from the sky. What follows is a story about darkness and light, paranoia and fear, as these friends experience horrors that change their lives forever.
