Drum & Bass duo Koven release their hard-hitting remix of Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s ‘Carry Me Home’.
Koven are UK electronic duo Max Rowat and Katie Boyle, whose cinematic approach to drum & bass has made them one of the most distinctive acts in the genre. With Max’s high-impact production and Katie’s rare combination of live vocals and DJing, Koven have built an identity that has resonated far beyond the traditional boundaries of the scene.
Their 2025 album Moments in Everglow marked a major step forward, earning support from BBC Radio 1 and MTV. Recent singles The High We Seek and Orbit both received Hottest Record support from Jack Saunders on Radio 1, before the duo went on to complete their first Essential Mix for the station. The duo have previously appeared on Anjunabeats with collaborations with Ilan Bluestone (Another Lover, 2017) and ALPHA 9 (Only Good Mistake, 2017).

They were the first huge name DJs we heard play one of our tracks, when we saw them play our collab with Ilan Bluestone at the O2, back in 2018. So this feels like such a bucket list goal of a remix! This is the second official remix of ‘Carry Me Home’, which was the second single off Above & Beyond’s most recent studio album, ‘Bigger Than All Of Us’. The single saw Above & Beyond reconnect with longtime collaborator Zoë Johnston, who has been working closely with the trio since 2004’s classic ‘No One On Earth’.
“We’ve been working with her for 22 years now, so she’s a part of the band.” explains Above & Beyond. “By that token, a song with her vocals is a very reassuring thing for our audience.”
Over the course of Above & Beyond’s 130,000-ticket North American amphitheater and club tour, and their followup 13-date European and UK tour, ‘Carry Me Home’ undoubtedly cemented itself as the new fan favourite song, and standout from the album, with the euphoric chorus prompting impressive crowd singalongs from London to San Diego.
This year, Above & Beyond haven’t slowed down; they just came off a 5-date album tour run in Australia, headlined two Anjunadeep Open Air South Africa festivals, and are gearing up for a special ‘Sunrise Set’ to close out the EDC Las Vegas main stage on Saturday, May 16th.
