Seth Borden | Abercrombie & Fitch's $1,000,000 Abandoned Castle @sethborden | Uploaded September 2020 | Updated October 2024, 51 minutes ago.
In this video I’m exploring an abandoned castle belonging to the founder of Abercrombie & Fitch! The castle was built in 1925 for David T. Abercrombie and his family. After many years of travel and building his business, he wanted to build a home that would reflect on his accomplishments. Construction of the castle was finished in just two years and it was given the name “Elda”, which are the first name initials of all David’s children. He passed away on August 29, 1931 in Ossining, New York, but was brought back to his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, and buried there. After many exchanges of ownership, the castle was abandoned in January of 2012 and remains empty today, but is still worth 3 million dollars on the market.
