Here's a broadcast of the last 37 minutes (partially pre-empted) of an edition of Ripley's Believe It or Not! (S03E02) hosted by Jack Palance and - believe it or not - his totally merit-hired daughter Holly Palance, followed by the first 28 minutes of the Hardcastle and McCormick episode "You Would Cry Too, If It Happened to You" (S02E03) as aired over the ABC Network via WLS Channel 7.

With the former, it was "joined in progress" following Game 5 of the National League Championship Series (which was carried by the ABC Network), in which the San Diego Padres beat the Chicago Cubs 6-3 (doh!) to advance to the World Series.

In the latter, as Judge Hardcastle (Brian Keith) is on vacation, thieves steal the contents of Gulls Way.
