I feel like I've been saying this with every new vocals FC I upload. But man. THIS is the hardest FC I've done so far in GH.
It's not because this chart is overly difficult. It's not that hard to learn every phrase. The problem is getting every phrase to work in a run. Band Hero has this weird input delay on vocals, and it's especially punishing on slides and stuff like the "li-ii-ke" at 0:16. It feels random whether it wants to register properly or not. Add that to not being able to properly calibrate this game to get the audio in sync with the hit window, and you get an unbelievably frustrating grind. The calibration I used is 0A 8V, and I had to sing ahead of the audio.
The hardest section is all of verse 2 starting at 0:54. Every phrase in this section is easy to miss. The hardest phrase for sure is "listen to me baby, that's all you gotta do" at 1:20, but I also had SO many runs die in "your education ain't com-plete" at 1:09 because I kept running out of breath LOL. I ended up choking past verse 2 in several spots, especially the first phrase of chorus 2 because I kept forgetting Michael would go sharp near the end of the phrase. I think I ruined 4 potential FC runs there. I also had 3 chokes past chorus 2, but after working on my consistency in practice, I find the second half of the song is much easier than the first, and I stopped choking it lol.
But yeah. This is truly a song you need to play in Band Hero to experience how bullshit it is. It took a solid 8 hour grind on-stream before I finally got the winning run. Verse 2 is just so ridiculous.
